Parent Led Home Groups

There will be no more home groups until the 2010-2011
Youth Group year which will resume in September 2010.
Thank you to all the families who opened their homes to our students.
We had a blessed year and we look forward to
what the Lord will bring us next year.

What is a Home Group?
Home Groups are a great time for parents to engage students in a small group discussion setting. Here is what they will look like:

They will be held at the homes of four different families for the semester. Time will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm which will be spent eating a meal together and afterwards having a time of bible study.  The host home will be responsible to coordinate with the other parents about how to structure the meal, whether it be a potluck or the host family wanting to take care of it themselves. I want to encourage as many parents that can, to come and be a part of this community of believers, building up the next generation on the foundation of Christ.
  • A different parent will lead the dissussion time for each group each week. (If any parent is interested in leading a small group please contact Pastor Kyle at 360-674-7000 or by email at kyle@crcc.com)
  • Pastor Kyle will be providing the material for each group at least 2 weeks before each Home Group meeting. (The material will be available on this website in the Document Downloads section.)
The purposes of these groups are the following:
  1. Glorify God by: Providing a platform for parents to be integrated with the ministry in a more tangible and essential fashion.
    1. Parents will get to know kids better.
    2. Get to know what is being taught because they are teaching it.
  2. Glorify God by: Providing accountability through biblical fellowship on areas of life specific to age and gender.
  3. Glorify God by: Providing teens the advantage of other godly parents in our church fellowship that can become an additional resource to the students themselves.
